« on: Wednesday 23 May 18 10:34 BST (UK) »
Hi
Have found on a webpage a marriage for Edward Hawkins to Mary Hedding 26 Nov 1663, can anyone help with this please? Is the entry correct and is there any other info, like residency?
Thanks
Helen

Hello
The marriage is transcribed on Freereg so it is correct .
Mary Hedding and Edward Hakines on there but no other info.

The only thing I can see for Huntingdon Headings is an inheritance dispute Peirson Heading and Richard Levitt 1686.
and there are some marriages
Daniel 1669 Little Paxton
John 1671 "
William 1670 "
Elizabeth 1659
Dorothy 1662
There's also a long list of burials.

Hi
I actually found it on Find my Past but there are several documents at the National Archives.
Nathaniel Peirson and his wife Mary against William Heading and his wife Barbara in 1685.
They are arguing about the estate of Richard Levitt but you never know there might be a family tree sort of information in there.Presumably they are both related to Richard Levitt and each other.

Hi
Thanks for the pointer, you're certainly right about the National Archives being a rich vein of information, there's even a will by William Heading snr in 1679!
Interestingly enough regarding the probate dispute of 1685, when you search for William Heading, son of William and Barbara, there is a family tree where he has a son called Levitt, born 1710 and a grandson called Levitt - so I think you're probably right about being related.

Added:
Having looked further into the tree Barbara is daughter of Richard Levitt.
Added again:
Looked further, at a more complete tree that says Barbara is nee Stocker and firstly married Richard Levitt - so obviously I shall have to be careful with this family!!

Thanks
Helen
