OOh, that's interesting. FreeReg has always had excellent coverage on Norfolk. I didn't realise it had extended its useful coverage to Lincolnshire, so I hadn't looked there.

This must be his baptism - Thomas Sharp bp.29/8/1798 Holton le Clay, son of William and Elizabeth (per FindMyPast).

Part of my trouble is that I first encountered evidence for his age in the 1841 census.

I put in the (rounded...) age of 1806 in my DB and didn't update it when I got better evidence.

The marriage already mentioned in 1826 shows Thomas' parish as Holton le Clay.
