Samuels father is Samuel occ Weaver

The 1871 has Samuel and Ann and family living in Macclesfield
RG10/3673/F136/p9
Samuel is down as having been born Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire

I can't see a baptism for him but the 1851 Census has him living in Macclesfield with parents Samuel and Mary
HO107/2159/F296/p41

Birth is c1832.

This couple married in Prestbury - but their abode in both cases was Macclesfield. Samuel junior was 24 and a Weaver like his father. Ann Swindells 28. Her father was Peter Swindells, also a Weaver.

One of the witnesses was Charles Swindells.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

In 1841 the family are transcribed by the enumerator as Hatfield and ARE living in Newcastle under Lyne, Staffs. Samuel junior is shown as 8 years old.

The two youngest children on the 1841/1851 Joseph and Ralph are both on the birth register as Hatfield. Perhaps the name evolved between 1841 and 1851  ???

Their mother's maiden name is recorded as Norcop.

Following on in my quest of the Hadfield family

A James Hatfield married ??? a Ann highly in ??

Can I ask for help in determining how many children they had please

The Samuel I have been researching  may have come from this couple


Was this Samuel who married a Mary norcop early 1820's

And was the Mary norcop

Mary or Mary ann

Is it possible to find her parents
