Tyne and Wear Archives - check opening times for June

I have been told today by a staff member at Tyne and Wear Archives that this is going to be closed for some dates in June - dates not yet disclosed.

This is because the Blue Peter time capsule and the 'Rocket' of George Stephenson fame is coming to the museum in which the archives is part of.

It has been advised to check website before visting to ensure if the archives will be open on a date that you may wish to visit in June.

These are the dates that the Archives will be closed according to what I was told by staff member:

12 & 13 June
20- 22 June
26 - 29 June

Always ensure to check website before visiting in June in case of any changes.

Opening again on 3 July

You are welcome candleflame.  People come from all over the world to the Archives and it would be awful to travel a long distance to find this is closed.

Hopefully, people will see this post and plan accordingly to avoid disappointment. :)

Tyne and Wear Archives will be closed again 18-20 September 2018 for the removal of the 'Rocket' exhibit.
