This is to protect against identity fraud."
This is what the GRO requires, and any organisation ordering from the GRO will need this information.
From the GRO You will be prompted to supply further details for more recent births and deaths (within the last 50 years) as you complete the online application form.
From another company's web site "The required information depends upon when the birth took place. For events within the past 50 years, we require that all sections are completed on the application form."
