help with finding death record please

Hello,

I wonder if someone can help me find out what happened to my grandfather,  Frederick Clear b1879 in Gravesend. He seems to have gone missing around 1926/27 and was living in Northfleet Creek . There is no sign of him in the 1939 register and I have tried to find his death record but no luck anywhere. He married Ada Coomber in 1922.  Thank you

Hello! No I didn't find Ada although I know she was in the Gravesend workhouse before she married Frederick and also that she married an Edward Over in 1940.  Thank you for replying!

Ada is on the 1939 register but we can’t post details on here due to copyright reasons but using the information you have you should be able to find her.

Ok that's a great help. I must have overlooked that - maybe I used her maiden name by accident. Where is the best place to look if I am no longer subscribed to a family history site?

Your local library may have free access to ancestry or findmypast, if you ask there or look online you should find this information and thought can access the site for an hour free.

Ada is living in Gravesend in 1939, birth year 1878 surname Over.  Use the Over surname when looking for her.

She wasn’t actually using surname Over (yet) but bear in mind the 1939 Register was kept updated with name changes.
