Thank you John, great to get this information.   Is there an actual website I can find more information on my New family, or do I physically have to go to Reading to get the information.  Bit difficult living in Australia !!

The BerksFHS has issued some CDs covering baptisms, marriages & burials which include Newbury St.Nicholas -
Bapts 1530 - 1649, Marriages 1660s -  1830s and Burials (several locations  with varying periods (incl.) St.Nicholas) 1530 - 1969
I believe they do offer a search facility as well which you may find useful.

That is great, will have to see if I can get a flight from Australia sometime !!  Wish we knew more about the family, when we went to Newbury a few years ago.

The records John is quoting are from FindMyPast, which has the Berkshire Record Office's collection of school admission books.  Sadly many have not survived.
