Can anyone help?  I have an Arthur Stanley Peaple born 1909 Rodbourne Cheney, Swindon, Wiltshire.
Can anyone tell me who his parents were?

Have you looked him up on the 1911 census?

Using the birth reg reference from freebmd you can find his mothers maiden name using GRO online.  However - I can't see anything on freebmd for 1909

If you have purchased certs from GRO you will already have a login/password.  If not - registration is free

Once you have his mmn - you can use freebmd to look for his parents marriage

If no mmn is shown on GRO online - it's highly likely he was illegitimate

To be fair, I did try GRO for PEOPLE and PEEPLE before I had that "duh" moment and tried PEAPLE!
