Evan's of The city of Killycarnan, Fermanagh, Northern Ireland
« on: Friday 01 June 18 13:02 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find information on the family of William and Sarah Evans, I have found the following children born to them 1. Sarah b. 2 Oct 1825 2. Matilda b. 21 Jul 1828 3. John b. 22 Jan 1831. What I do know is John Evan's (the son b.1831) migrated to Australia.I recently found a entry of marriage for Matilda Evans to John James in 1855.
Hope this is a bit clearer!
Any further info would be a great.

Thanks
Brooker, Creagh Curran, Ellingsen, Evans, Hatton, Ryan, Slade, Campbell, Flett

Can't help with the family bit Killycarnan is a townland in the Civil Parish of Galloon, there were only 15 households at the time of Griffith's Valuation in 1862, none were Evan by then.
https://www.johngrenham.com/c_parish/c_parish_main.php?civilparishid=962&county=Fermanagh&civilparish=Galloon&CountyMap=

For any one searching the Galloon parish referred to above is the COI parish.

recently found a entry of marriage for Matilda Evans to John James in 1855

Groom was John James Crowe- and her father given as Robert Evans in extract-
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QGV8-577L

Added- Irish Genealogy has the marriage indexed under Larne registration district but GRONI under Fermanagh district.

GRONI give the groom's surname as CROWE not James.

Added- Lowtherstown is the old name for Irvinestown.

Searching for Matilda Evans in marriages brings up this-
1855 - john james __ [lock symbol hiding surname] - matilda  EVANS - Irvinestown - Fermanagh

The groom's name will not be shown unless you pay for the information. The groom was John James CROWE.

On looking at that entry just now on family search it gives father of Matilda as Robert, but could be a error ???
