Hi,
I hope someone in the land of the Maple Leaf can help me. I am trying to find a death for my Great Aunt Georgina Annie Craggs, nee Farr, born about 1890 in Darlington, Durham, UK. She married John William Craggs about 1912 in Windsor, Ontario. She was a hairdresser and sometime Radio announcer. She had two children, Edward born about 1912 and Catherine born about 1914. She divorced John Craggs in?. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A Georgina A Craggs arrived in the Uk from Montreal in May 1947 on the Beaverburn. Uk address 47 Commercial Street Darlington. Intended future residence ‘other part of British Empire ( not England, Scotland Ireland or Wales). Possible death in 1974 in Gateshead of Georgina A Craggs dob 12/8/1899. Also a 1924 sailing to Montreal of Georgina A Craggs with uk address of c/o Farr, 54 Archer Street, Darlington.

Was married to a Robert William Craggs ..going by the 1939 register

Thank you for your efforts. Apart from the Gateshead death that is definitely my Great Aunt. There is no family knowledge of her dying in the UK. Thanks once again.

John W Craggs obituary is in the Windsor Star newspaper... Wife is Mae C. Obit June 30 1951.

This is from the index.  As you can see, there are two other Craggs listed.   Often, you can find the actual Windsor Star paper online (through Google news archives - up to 1959), but 1951 isn't available.

Perhaps the Windsor library could help with the obit?
