James Bennett KAB reference
« on: Saturday 02 June 18 06:22 BST (UK) »
I recently found this reference to 1905
DEPOT     KAB
SOURCE    CSC
TYPE      LEER
VOLUME_NO 2/6/1/273
SYSTEM    01
REFERENCE 973
PART      1
DESCRIPTION          MOTION. IN THE MATTER OF JAMES BENNETT, A LUNATIC.
STARTING  19050000
ENDING    19050000
almost a month has passed and no response back from the relevant archives.

I am trying to find out if he is the man who was born in England in Herefordshire and was married in 1880 at Hoxton, London to Eliza Jane Goodwin, she returned to England before 1891 when she had two children baptised there.

Wondering if it would be possible for some one to look at this record and see if it has any identifying information. His widow married in 1917 so assume he had died by then?

One reference said that he had been associated with Alfred Beit

Appreciate any help

As far as I have seen he was only James Bennett.

Could this be his grave http://www.graves-at-eggsa.org/library/main.php?g2_itemId=1064449

Unfortunately, I would think it unlikely.  As James Bennet was described as "a lunatic" in the 1905 document he would have to have had a very loving family or good friends to erect a large memorial on his grave.

Hi, I am also looking for information on James. I am his great grandson. Thanks for any insights as to what may have happened to him.
