You are a glutton for punishment!

The remaining 2 King sisters

Sarah b. 1834 in St. Mary Middlesex     Last seen in 1851 in Bledlow, Buck w/ parents Joseph James King and Louisa at age 17

Maria b. 1845 in High Wycombe Buck     Last seen in 1861 in Manchester on St George,  Colly(something) St? (Folly St. or Colly Hurst??) at age 16

I haven't found marriages --  tho have a list of long shots for Sarah.

Can you search by birthplace/year?  Nothing I have allows for that so if you don't know name -- up the creek with no paddle!

Also, baby bro Ebenezer (yes, him again!)  b. 1851 in Bledlow, Buck  Dies in 1876 at age 25 in Dewsbury W. Riding but don't know where he is in 1871.   Last seen in 1861 at 10 yrs old with parents.

Will be amazing if you find these guys as they don't seem to be hanging with the rest of the group!

Perplexing group...

IGI has Joseph James Bartham c. Sep 23, 1861 All Saints, Manchester

Named for Rebecca King's father and spelling, date and place are correct!   A wonderment in itself!

Husband Edward dies between 1861-1871.
But what of  Joseph James @ age 10 and Sarah age 13 in 1871??

In 1871, Rebecca only has Mary Ellen and Anne with her!

Hey Carol --  back at it??  You are relentless!

I should have noted on the IGI for Joseph James Bartham that it was an extracted record and parents Edward and Rebecca were also noted ---  so pretty sure that is him.

BARTLAM is a real family names and  LOTS of Bartlams --  if our BARTHAM's get mixed into that group it will be a l o n g search!

IGI entry is the christening date isnt it? So GRO birth ref could still be for the same JJ? ie; Born 1860, christened 1861.... (no JJ Bartlam on 1861 census, just the mistranscribed Barkan/Bartham)

Having no luck finding for your missing people, you've beat me with those ones!!  :)

Good Luck, think you'll need it!!

Regards,
Catherine  :)

Yes, you are correct --  IGI is christening in 1861 so 1860 birth record in GRO could correspond.  I wasn't questioning the match up  --  was only further validating the legitimacy of the IGI entry.

Beaten or beaten up??

Think I'll give the group a rest as well as well ---- but a TON! was accomplished!   Thanks so much for your help!  You were really brilliant!!

Catherine....this will take a little work....The only thought that is coming to mind off hand is a connection to the King daus mother Louisa  nee unknown   --   perhaps Brown  or  she was connected to Bartham/however spelled in  some way.

Mother Lousia nee ?? King  b. 1810 in Islington

Sarah King  b. London  marr  --  either King to King marriage or an error        or not our gal!

Amelia (Bartram)  Emelia Brown

And the garbled Brown girl could be "Louisa something"??

What is curious about this family is the steady migration from London birthplace to Buck then to Cheshire/Lancs/York.....other than the likely reason of economics ---  there may another family connection....

hmmmmmmm

Glad you are not beaten (up) yet!
