Triplets in 1928

Good Afternoon

I am after a bit of information regarding the births of multiples in 1928.

My Nan was a triplet born on 15 April 1928 in Birmingham. My Nan was the only surviving child, the other two girls sadly passed away at birth. My Nan doesn't recall any names for them.

My question is, is there likely to be a record of their births, or would it have only been my Nan that was recorded?

It would depend if they were born alive and then died or were still births.
But it would only take a  minute to look up your Nan's birth and see if there were any other little girls registered with the same mother's  maiden name ,on the same page and quarter.
Why not give it a go or give us a surname and we'll do it for you.

My Nan was the only one listed on the birth register with the mother's maiden name. I presume the other two girls must have been stillborn in this case.

It's not her Emma Matilda who died 1928 was registered in West Brom  and  born in 1855

I guess they were stillborn then, and no birth recorded?

I wonder? Do you have the birth certificate of your grandma? My mother, a twin, has the time of her birth on her certificate.

Emma M buried 1928 was 73 years old.

Unfortunately no I don't.

Deleted the details of birth as I think this lady may still be with us! Sent a private message to ALH2909

Would be worthwhile getting it. I would certainly have certificates for ALL of my nearest relatives. Saves on errors later on up the tree

Still births were registered from 1 July 1927.
