When you next visit the OPC database please take the time to read the new notice on the bottom left.

Although all the info and data on both the database and Parish pages is free , and will always be so, the Group has to pay to keep it all online via web-hosting costs. At the moment the OPCs pay most of the costs themselves, so it has been decided to invite donations to enable this excellent resource to continue into the future. If you feel able to support this work then please follow the instructions given on the above-mentioned page.

This is an excellent resource.  It has saved me £££s in marriage certificate costs.  The coverage is very good, especially going way back in time.

Is there a way to share transcripts of wills to the OPC?  Images obtained from the Records Office are marked "NOT TO BE RECOPIED" - but a transcript made by me wouldn't be copyright?

I have bought wills from CRO and put the transcriptions onto the OPC Parish Pages.

That will be brill.

They can give such help. One of my grandees fell out with the church and didn’t have any children baptised. Fortunately his wife listed them and their children in her will.....
