John MANSON

John Manson married Janet Banks (1772-1857) on 20 March 1795 at Canisbay.  At the time John was in the 2nd battalion of the Rothesay and Caithness Fencible Regiment.  There were no witnesses registered.  Janet is a widow when she dies.  Can anyone help with the birth/death date of John Manson? 
Children were Isabella 1795- 1868
                     Margaret 1803-1861
                     Alexander 1803-1881
                     Charlotte 1806-1868
                   
                    There could be more children but have not verified this yet.

On SP there is an unnamed entry for a male child dated 00/00/1769 at Canisbay
Parents ALEXR. MANSON & JEAN SMITH. They also had a son James born there in 1780.

John age 82 (1769) a Mason & Janet age 78 (1773) are on the 1851 census in Thurso.

There are no Manson  deaths recorded in Caithness 1851 – 1861
There is a Stat. Reg for JANET MANSON nee BANKS, age 84. Wick Burgh 1857

My guess is that John died 1851 – 1855 but no record on-line
