British Home Children: Minnie PRICE

Hello Bob,

I just found this site. But I'm confused on where to find the database. I'm looking for any info on my great Grandmother her name is Minnie Price she left Liverpool England on May 22 1890 and Arrived in Quebec Canada June 1, 1890. She arrived with Ms. Maria Rye .She was on board the SS Sardinian.
Hopefully, you can send me in the right direction. Thank you, Nicole

A marriage for a Minnie Price born 1882 London England - 12 October 1904 - spouse Frederick Charles Hoare.  Orphan brought out from England. Residence at time of marriage - Newmarket.
Fredericks parents George Hoare and mother Fanny March.

It would appear that Frederick Charles Hoare took his own life, how sad.

Date of death - 10 July 1943.

Wife recorded as Minnie Price Hoare.

Ontario, Canada, Deaths and Deaths Overseas, 1869-1946 - Frederick Charles Hoare - 20 December 1880 - 10 July 1943 - Newmarket Ontario - suicide by hanging  :'( spouse Minnie Price Hoare.
Burial Newmarket Cemetery - 13 July 1943 - informant was his son George Hoare.

Fred Chas. Hoare died suddenly at his home in Newmarket on Sunday in his 63rd year.
Born in Canterbury, England, he came to Canada at the age of 17 and worked on a farm in the Newmarket district. In 1904, he married Minnie Price, who also came from England.

Mr. Hoare enlisted with the 220th battalion at Newmarket in 1916 and served overseas. He was discharged in 1919 with disabilities. For over 20 years he was caretaker of the Alexander Muir school. Mr. Hoare was a member of St. Paul's Anglican church and a member of the Canadian Order of Foresters.

Surviving beside his widow are his mother and several brothers and sisters in England, one son, George, and nine daughters, Mrs. Ernest Bennitz (Frances), Newmarket, Mrs. Jack LeGood (Ruth), Newmarket, Mrs. Leslie Page (Doris), Newmarket, Mrs. Jack Fulcher (Hilda), Toronto, Mrs. Loftus Buckley (Phyllis), Ottawa, Muriel, Toronto, Mrs. Harold Finnegan (Geraldine), Toronto, Mrs. Harold Brown (Betty), Newmarket, and Corinne at home.

Rev. G. I. B. Johnson, Toronto, conducted the funeral service at the chapel of Roadhousc and Rose on Tuesday afternoon. He was assisted by Rev. Henry Cotton. Interment was in Newmarket cemetery. Pallbearers were fellow war veterans. L. P. Cane, Ernest Sansom, Colin McKinley, Harvey McCordick, Walter Baldwin, Toronto, and James Low, Toronto.

Attestation Papers - Sgt Fredrick George Hoare - birth shown as 21/12/18880 (seems like it should be 1880 ) wife Mrs Minnie Hoare. Newmarket.

Another sad one -  :'( Daughter Muriel Hoare - born 8 January 1918 passed away 24 January 1946 -
Muriel was married to Allen E La Plante  - burial Newmarket - surgical shock - induced delivery with forceps.
