Palé Garden House, Llandderfel, near Corwen
« on: Tuesday 12 June 18 15:55 BST (UK) »
My relative lived at this address in 1911.  Would anyone know if it still stands please & where it is?  I have contacted Palé Hall & although it used to be part of the estate I was informed that most of the staff houses were sold off some time ago.
Thanks in advance

I checked "Related Images - List" on FindMyPast for properties listed before and after "Pale Garden House" (cannot post details - policy).

Some of those mentioned can be seen on this 1901 map
https://maps.nls.uk/view/102184546

Can you access this "List"? Not sure how it's delivered via Ancestry.

This is an 1875 (circa) photo of the walled garden.

In the 1901 Census "Pale Garden House" is listed immediately after "Pale Hall" and is occupied by Thomas Ruddy, head gardener (domestic).

Your 1911 "rellie" at Pale Garden House has a very similar title.

He occupied the property in 1911 previously occupied in 1901 by "Ruddy, Head Gardener (domestic)". I suspect he was head gardener in place of Ruddy (can't spot Ruddy in Llandderfel in 1911).

Found the site - great photo of the Garden House.

Have found several mentions of EJE in Welshnewspapers online - usually in a judging capacity.
