Decipher place name please
« on: Thursday 14 June 18 16:24 BST (UK) »
This record is from Wick.
I've worked out that the first place name is Killimster, but I can't get the second Wetherilad, Wetherclad? I'm hoping that someone from the area will have an idea. Thanks Jacqui

I wonder if it is a vocal corruption of "Wathegar."

It's just less that 5 miles directly West of Wick. There is an Upper and Lower.

I thought it might be Westerdale, a few miles west on the River Thurso

A date for the marriage may help for checking maps?
