Can't see any baptisms, but if you don't already have them, Claude Cedric married on 25 Aug 1923 and Esma Hilda married on 20 Nov 1917, both at Parr St Peter.

Maud M married in 1914 (don't have the specific date) at Haydock St Marks.

There is also a plain Harold who married 13 May 1923 at St Helens Parish Church.

Just found an Edith E who married 29 Dec 1908 at Parr Mount Holy Trinity.
Kit, many, many thanks. This is really helpful and very much appreciated. Apologies for my late reply. Rowan Tree  :)

Happy to oblige.  Wasn't sure if you already had those marriages.  If you want them, I can let you know the spouses names?

OK - just for other members to help in research - marriage record on IGI
John James Lightfoot born 1868 - married Louisa Miles born 1867
John James Lightfoot father was Stephen Lightfoot and Louisa Miles father was John Miles .
John James and Louisa married on 28th February 1887 in Garston,Lancashire
now within the Liverpool catchment area...no records for them having any children in Garston ....

it looks like Stephen Lightfoot died a year later in 1888 in Garston - he was born 1812

needs checking out - but most likely Stephen Lightfoot married Isabella Iceton 1st June 1865 , Liverpool
Stephens father was William and Isabellas father was Foster Iceton
Foster Iceton married Isabella Lowry 19th June 1837 at St Nicholas church Liverpool.
garstonite!!!

Oh my word - thank you! That's some catch with the Stephen Lightfoot death registry. I was wondering if Stephen was a figment of Ann or John James' imagination.

John James' birth cert. and baptism have his Mum; Ann Lightfoot (single woman) but no father.

The Garston connection = John James (1867) was born in Garston, as was his mum, Ann Lightfoot (1846), as was his maternal nanna, Alice nee Hitchmough (c. 1811/12).

Think I need to buy the Stephen Lightfoot death cert.

Thanks again  :D

I have John James Lightfoot birth certificate. It has his mother as Ann Lightfoot and no father listed. This suggests he was an illegitimate child. He was born 3 Mar 1867.

I do have a baptism record for him that I got off Ancestry. It is from the England, Select Births and Christenings, 1538-1975 records.

It says he was baptised at St Peter's, Liverpool, Lancashire, England on 29 Apr 1867.

Hope this helps.
