« on: Sunday 17 June 18 07:09 BST (UK) »
Good Morning - 4 X g grandparents Joseph Allcock and Ann ??
Although I have done extensive searches I cannot find a marriage for Joseph Allcock and Ann around 1800 .- 1806
facts I have
children
Sarah Allcock b 1806 - baptised 9th March , St Mary ,Stockport
Ralph Allcock b 1808 - baptised St Mary,Stockport 31st July 1808
Joseph Allcock b 1810 - baptised 9th December 1810 St Mary Stockport

any help appreciated  :)
added - the only possible I can see is Joseph Alcock to Ann Holland -  31st July 1803 in Prescot ,Lancashire ?? - not keen on that - seems a little far from baptisms

the only logical one I can find
there is a marriage Joseph Allcock to Nancy Furnival at St Mary ,Stockport in 1796 - but that would mean 10 years before the first born I have ?

I have found William / Francis / and Ann Allcock 1805 Stockport Sunday School - father Joseph ...I wonder if these are siblings of my 3 = Sarah /Ralph / Joseph ??..if so - that marriage to Nancy Furnival needs looking at - but why would Nancy 1796 become Ann on baptisms in 1806/8/10 ??

Nancy/Ann are pretty much interchangeable.
All census look up transcriptions are Crown Copyright http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/

A bit out of left field but on my mother's side, I go back to a Samuel Moore who lived in Annaghmore, Armagh. In 1862, his son, William, married Maria Alcock from Drumnott - from the marriage record, it gives Maria's father's name as Joseph Alcock and mother as Ann (Potts).
