Danish Birth record 1809, Translation Help

Hi all,

I am trying to work out the full wording on the Birth record of Kiersten JENSDATTER, 24 Sep 1809, in Vestero Parish, Laeso Island. Hjorring County, Denmark. The basic facts are transcribed on Family Search, here:

Parents: Jens CHRISTENSEN and Margrethe ANDERSDATTER.

The mother, Margrethe ANDERSDATTER (sometimes as ANDERSDATTER GAARN), my 4xGt-Gm, died June 1816 and her subsequent probate named her surviving children/heirs. The youngest, Kiersten was described as: KIRSTEN JENSDATTER 6 år. født udef. ægteskab - which I believe says she was: age 6, born outside of marriage.

Margrethe's late husband Claus whom she had married 1793, died before her and his probate was issued 1815 -  but I've never found his death/burial record. I believe he probably died while away from the island at sea -  he was a "Matros og Jordbrugere" (Sailor / Farmer). 

(edited): Rather belatedly, I've wondered if  Kiersten's birth dates him having died before 1809 - the spanner in that works is that his mother died 1814, and her Probate referred to him as being "borte fra øen" (away from the Island).

I'm curious as to the full wording of Kiersten's birth

Hi Ian,

Many thanks for that! This is great - No, I hadn't seen the original record for Claus' deed - just a LÆSØ SKIFTEPROTOKOL pdf file of transcriptions.  It looks like a bit more information is on the orginial, as with the Birth of Kierstine.

I look forward to the translation - and really appreciate you going to the trouble

Claus's own 1774 birth was illegitimate and registered with the notation thus:
"For BarneFader blev angivet af Barbara Michelsdatter en fremmed strandet Karl, paa det her sidst ind-strandet Svenske Vrag som havde Salt inde, Karlens Navn skal haveværet Jens, videre derom vidstes ikke"

As to the father of the child, Barbara Michelsdatter informs that he is thought to be a foreign fellow, lately stranded here off the wreck of a Swedish salt ship. The fellow's name is thought to be Jens but nothing further is known about him.

Hi Ian,

Many thanks for the translation!  Nothing salacious then, but the "fiance" bit is interesting - I guess she and Jens Christensen --- never did marry as her Probate only mentions 1st husband Claus.

Now I see the first part of it, the second of the two partly deciphered witness must be Anders Hyllebusk (& that 'surname' has popped up before in the family) . The partly deciphered first witness, I can only see in as Jalsie, but it may reveal in other records at some stage!

Jens's name is clearer there - in fact no reference to 'Christensen' at all, only to the the identifier name -  do you think :  Sejelflad? Sejelflod?  Could it be a place name identifier - there is a place called Sejlflod in Aalborg...

The Konfirmation of:
"Kirstine Jensdtr Sejelflad? for sin Broder Anders Gaarn in Vestero"
Kirstine Jensdtr Sejelflad? in the care of her brother Anders Gaarn in Vestero. 

For her parents: I can only make out their two names really,  but all that is written between, I don't know... could I ask if you are able to help translate that also?
