Has anyone ever found a Scottish Prisoner in a census in a prison?
Is this even possible?

David Clark born 1844, aged 37 born in Dairsie, Fife
Can't find a man of this name/age in anything like a prison?
Could he have evaded a 15 year prison sentence some how?

Thankyou both for your help :)

Think the David Clark(widowed) in Leuchars Fife in 1881 was married to Ann Butchart.
Ann Butchart died 1879  Leuchars Fife.
