Hello Lost, Welcome to Rootschat.

The best thing to do would be to search on Free BMD for the marriages of the children and then for any births connected to the marriages.  https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

You could then try electoral rolls to see if you can locate any of the descendants from those.

Rootschat has a policy of no living persons so as any of the children could still be alive we can't put any further information here.

Two of the children seem to have been born in the same year, one registered in Sept. 1933 and the other in Dec. 1933.  That would need investigating.  Twins?  One registered later than the other?

If you find the family in 1939 (4 children born?) then that will give you some indication of which of those may still be alive. and also lead to marriages of the daughters.

Added:
There is another Scott/Snowdon marriage in the area (Sunderland not Gateshead) so which children belong to which marriage?

From a free search of the 1939 census, living in Gateshead are Walter E and Isabella E Scott and only one closed record - so which children are missing/died?

There is also this marriage in 1929:

John Scott    Gateshead
 Mary Snowdon    Gateshead

As the Frank that I can see was born in 1930 (unless you mean a different birth)  then he would look to be the son of John and Mary, not the son of Walter and Isabella, surely?

A free 1939 search gives Frank Scott, 1930, with a Mary Carroll/Scott and 1 other person in Gateshead.  Lilian Scott, 1933, is also in that household.

So that explains the near births of Lilian and Walter - 2 different families.

Between 1920 and 1940 there are three Scott/Snowdon marriages:-

Marriages Dec 1929
Scott    John    Snowdon    Gateshead    10a   1687
Snowdon    Mary    Scott    Gateshead    10a   1687

Marriages Mar 1933
Scott    Walter E    Snowdon    Gateshead    10a   1108
Snowdon    Isabella E    Scoyy    Gateshead    10a   1108

Marriages Mar 1937
Scott    Albert    Snowdon    Sunderland    10a   1233
Snowdon    Dora    Scott    Sunderland    10a   1233

Between 1929 and 1950 there are 8 Scott/Snowdon births:-

Five in Gateshead, two in Sunderland and one in Newcastle T

So it looks like Lost needs to clarify which ones belong to Walter and Isabella.

Dear Moderator,

As I specified that Frank and Lilian were showing on the free 1939 register, then it is highly likely that they have died, so you need not have removed their names.  The probability that they are the wrong family should be irrelevant as we were waiting for Lost to comment.

This looks like Walter E's death
Walter Ellis Scott age 75 died 15th August 2009 in Durham.

Welcome to rootschat, Trisha.

As lostinthepast has not returned to the boards, you could try and pm him directly.

but I think you need to have made 2 or 3 posts before you can send a pm.

So just say hello, again and again, and then try that route.
