Pochin burials
« on: Friday 22 June 18 19:25 BST (UK) »
Hello,

Looking for the burial of Jane Pochin. She died in 1837 in the Blaby district and I think it's likely to have been in Wigston. Also any details of the burial of George Pochin in Wigston in 1820.

I'd appreciate any help!

Yes, it is! Thanks. This would match with a possible 1743 birth in Gilmorton.

Hi

Think this may be Jane transcribed as Parkin by FindMyPast, it actually could be to be fair to the transcriber, but I’d say Pochin after seeing the image

Jane Pochin buried 20 Sept 1837 Wigston Magna aged 73, born c1764.

I agree, the image looks more like Pochin.

Well that confirms it. Thanks. I'm still confused over the origins of my Pochin family. George's death entry matches with a 1743 christening in Gilmorton.
