I'm new to this forum and was having a browse.  Gwaun y Gwiail farm mentioned here is in Gerlan which was recorded as being in the Parish of Llanllechid (I'm not sure if the Parish reference is still in use). Gerlan and Llanllechid are separate villages in the same area (within about 3 miles of each other), but they fell within the same parish. Referenes to LLanllechid in searches can be confusing because it is likely to be a reference to the parish and not the exact location.

Bont Uchaf also mentioned is a short road that joins Gerlan to Carneddi (again, not in Llanllechid village).
