John WISE and Martha POVEY

Morning Rootschatters in Berkshire,

I'm hoping someone can help me as I'm stuck on John WISE (1775 - 1819) and his wife, Martha POVEY (1776 approx - 1854?)  John was baptised at St Giles, Reading, Berks (I think) and Martha is also from Berkshire.
They married on 1st Oct 1793 St Mary's Thatcham.  I've found about 5 children.  John Wise junior is the one I'm descended from.  I'm trying to get back to the previous generation to no avail.   I'm hoping someone in the area can help.

I can't help you with your Wise family but here's a little info on your Povey family.

Baptisms: St Mary the Virgin Speen Newbury Berkshire

Parents: John and Mary Povey

10/2/1750 John
24/8/1755 Mary
19/2/1758 William

3/10/1762 Richard
31/3/1765 Elizabeth
21/2/1768 Sarah
30/9/1770 Joshua
11/7/1773 Martha

There are these 2 burials which could be the parents of Martha and her older siblings, the later births may be their son John's children (if he also married a Mary):

28th October 1773 John Povey (no age given)
20th December 1778 Mary Povey (no age given)

I could not see a marriage for a John and Mary Povey in the parish of Speen fitting the time frame
but there was a marriage in 1750 in East Ilsley for a John Povey and Mary Painter which may be them.
