Edward Oxborrow b. Abt 1637 Grundisburgh, Suffolk
« on: Monday 25 June 18 10:44 BST (UK) »
Trying to research Oxborrow family.  I believe the above is the father of Stephen Oxborrow (b. Abt 1637), and that Edward was married to Mary Downing (b. Abt 1641).  The Downing name seems incredibly complicated so I don't want to waste my time unless the marriage is correct.  I have seen people connect Mary Downing to all sorts of nobility, which is fascinating, but only if it is right!  I am also trying to define the siblings of Stephen (married to Mary Rowe (b.Abt 1675), as I seem to be accumulating far too many.  Anyone out there have any info please?  Many thanks

Hi

FamilySearch has children for Edward and Mary Oxborough, including Stephen (christened 10th November 1673) in Grundisburgh.

Mary 1663
Martha 1665
Annye 1668
Edward 1670
Sarah 1679

There are also a lot of Oxborrow/Oxboroughs in Bury St. Edmonds.
I'm afraid that my knowledge of the area is inexistent, so I don't know if they could be the same family.

Thanks.  I did have originally have a Mary in the tree but discounted it for some reason.  I have also found an  Amy b. 1665?  I will recheck FamilySearch.
