What are the details from the 1866 marriage certificate?

I found another copy of the 1866 marriage register.

I am confused.

On the marriage register, her father was John Leslie who was born in 1806 and died in Co.Longford in Clongesh parish in 1885.

The only death I can see for John Leslie in 1885 is the one who lived in Beihy, County Leitrim, not Longford which I posted earlier.
Is that the one you have?

Are you sure he is your John Leslie?

Thanks hallmark.
It is the places references and the one year age difference which is confusing.

Here is Griffiths Valuation for Cloone civil Parish

John Leslie is mentioned for Beihy as is Anne Leslie.
Ann Leslie, sister reported the death of John Leslie I have linked to earlier.

I know, I was confused myself too. I wasn't even sure if they were the same person as you would have expected them to be from the same place. Irish heritage is confusing!

So where did you see Clongesh Parish for the death in 1885. Was it a church record of the burial?

As I see it, Margaret Leslie’s marriage and the death of John Leslie with a sister, Anne both have Beihy, as their residence.

Now, could John Leslie who married Margaret Cole be the brother of your Margaret Leslie or from an unconnected family?

They are from the same place..... Can possibly see each other's houses

Who are from the same place and can see each other’s houses?

We have established that the burial and civil death are the same person.

However, is this John Leslie both father of the bride and the later groom?
