John Anderson Cotton died in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa in early 1880 or 1881:

Please note that whoever posted this burial record warns that the year of death may be incorrect, but John Anderson Cotton's wife Emily is shown as a widow in the 1881 Census of Hampstead, London taken on 3 or 4 April 1881.  So John Anderson Cotton died in either 1880 or 1881.

John Anderson Cotton was born on June 21, 1831 and baptised in St Paul, Deptford, London/Kent on Jul 11, 1831.

Can anyone find a death registration/certificate number in 1880/81 or an obituary published in a local paper?

Place of death looks to be New Somerset Hospital.
