George Raworth 1803-1842
« on: Sunday 01 July 18 12:12 BST (UK) »
I have posted before on this family, but double checking I do not think on George in particular.
George was killed by his father John, 21st May 1842, in North Collingham. John was transported and died in Van Diemans land.
I would love to know if there is anything in the newspapers about this, surely a newspaper would have a murder of son by father. Any help at all much appreciated. I do not have access at the moment.

I could only find -

23/07/1842. John Raworth received his sentence of transportation for life, for killing
his son in North Collingham.

09/09/1842.  John Raworth removed from county jail on Thursday, and placed on board the Justitia hulk, at Woolwich, to be transported for life.

Both items from the Nottingham Review and General Advertiser.
