Need Help in Deciphering Gravestone Inscription
« on: Tuesday 03 July 18 21:18 BST (UK) »
Not sure if this is the right board to post this in...

I am trying to decipher some inscriptions on my grandparents' gravestone. My grandfather was a WWII veteran,if that helps,as well as being a member of the Orange Lodge. After his name is written "CD";in the left top corner is a cross in a crown with "P.G.M." engraved underneath. Here's the link:

Have a look at this,

Scroll down a bit.

I understand the CD now;I suspect it might have been with his war medals. But it's the Templar association I'm not quite following. As I said,my grandfather had been with the Orange Lodge and was also Grand Master of the Royal Black Knights of Ireland at one point too. Unless he kept it secret I don't remember him ever saying anything about the Templars. Would be interesting if he was.
