Marian Minear ( also spelling variations)bC1840 St Austell
« on: Wednesday 04 July 18 01:58 BST (UK) »
Help appreciated in accounting for this person believed to be daughter of Jane (Guy) Minear , listed 1841 Census aged 1 living East Turnpike.
1851 Census transcribed as Mary Ann Mincer aged 11.
1861 Census as
 Mary Ann Minear visitor aged 21 living with family of William (? a brother) Minear.
What became of Mary Ann ?Did she marry ?
Apparently her father could not have been William Minear as he had died 1832 , makes her parentage dubious.

With thanks.
Wyatt and Wood of Glossop, Derbyshire. Longstaff of Bishop Auckland,Durham. Harry of St Austell and St Kew,Cornwall. Charters of County Antrim.Knight of Warwickshire.Hendy of Ballyedmonduff.

Thank you John.
Sorry for the delay in responding.
Your suggestions look promising as I think Roche not far from St Austell.
I don't suppose you can see her 1871 and 1881 as might give further confirmation.
Now looking for burial record.

Much appreciated.

Thank you again John.
I am checking these out.
Differing birth locations might be an issue but age fits.
I should be able to match up with other family members.

1851 she is down as Janes Daug as you know;

Anc has this with no date;
Name:   Jane Minear
Gender:   Female
Child:   Mary Minear

No Birth Reg GRO that I can find

I think the 1871 Census is not your Mary Ann. Looks like her age is out there and born c 1834 to Matthew/Elizabeth. They have a Son William.

1861 she is with her half brother Wiliam and Family.

This may be a red herring but a Mary Ann GUY, Spinster*, married William Parker 1862 (CornwallOPC)
She names her Father as Edward COLLECOAT a Fisherman
William is a Widower/occp Mariner

From Cornwall OPC. Baptism 6 April 1834 St Austell. Mary, daughter of Jane Minear, victualler. Base child. No obvious record of burial.

Not an answer - just another question
