You can see if anyone else is researching the surname here:

http://surname.rootschat.com/

The primary use of this site is to help progess research when someone is stuck.

Is there a particular family member that you need help with?

Names, dates, currently-known details and an outline of what you already know and what you seek is what should be included in any postings.

Welcome. Pauline

Welcome to Rootschat

The 1911 census has only 2 entries for that surname who were actually born in Herefordshire but were not living there in 1911.

There are almost 22,000 other entries for that surname on the 1911 so you need to be more specific with exactly which family you are researching.

Carlin (Ireland & Liverpool) Doughty & Wright (Liverpool) Dick & Park (Scotland & Liverpool)

Looking through the censuses from 1841 onwards there seems to be only one cherry family in Herefordshire, there are however very many Cherry families in  hertfordshire .
As others have said more detail may be useful
