YATES, William - 1827 marriage to Susannah Bax, Caerleon
« on: Friday 06 July 18 03:25 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone.

This query follows on from one posted here: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=796240 with a related post here: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=796337

In 1827 William Yates marries Susannah Bax in Caerleon.

William died in Caerleon in 1829 and his will confirms both the marriage and that he was previously from Deal in Kent.

I am hoping that a parish record is available in which William names his father.

He was very likely in his 60s and twice widowed, so I'm not sure if you did name your father in those circumstances.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

The couple were married by license and the only info was that they were of the Parish.  Their martial status wasn't mentioned.

Both signed their names and witnesses were Joseph Hadley and Susannah Huntley??
