1854 Chirk marriage
« on: Friday 06 July 18 15:59 BST (UK) »
I have a Sophia Thomas  born London, her age in all census is consistent with birth 1819/20
I found an tree with the right woman but her birth on that is 1814 and her father is William Thomas . They give her marriage to Thomas Parsonage in November 1854 at St Mary`s Chirk.  Can anyone help me out with the marriage details. I can`t find Sophia at all before then and maybe her fathers occupation might help.

Thanks

Father was William Thomas, Livery Stable keeper.

Added - she was a housekeeper at the Castle.

Found this one late on last night and forgot about it:

A possible for 1841
Household of Duke of Cambridge, Piccadilly, Westminster
HO107/734/4/6/5

Could be a link with the Myddelton Biddulphs.

Just been trying to find a link between the 1841 Duke of Cambridge and the Myddleton Bidulphs. The old Duke of C died in 1850, so it could be that Sophia moved at that time.

(the searches keep throwing up William and Catherine  ::) ::) ::)  )

PS - my grandmother (in my avatar) worked as a housemaid at the Castle in the mid/late  1890s and her brother was a butler there!
