Cardiff Court Records 1868
« on: Tuesday 10 July 18 13:46 BST (UK) »
Hi Folks,

Does anyone have any information about how I might find any online records for the Cardiff Summer Assizes in 1868. If not, does anyone know where I might find the actual court record archive please?

I seem to have a relative who was sentenced to 8 months for burglary.

It would also be good to know of any newspaper archives which may have covered the trial.

Thanks

Welsh Newspapers Online might be a good place to start: http://newspapers.library.wales/

Hi Newwriter,

If you filter by date, and then put your relative's name in inverted commas in the Search field, with 'burglary' after it, - you might find something.

Thanks both. I have discovered an article for his other misdemeanour in Brecon and will start looking for anything on his Cardiff case too.

If anyone has any information regarding the court archives I would be grateful too.

Thanks
