John Grayshan of Stalybridge [1890]
« on: Friday 13 July 18 18:29 BST (UK) »
On my Calderdale Companion website,

http://calderdalecompanion.co.uk/ph7173.html

I have a photograph of the wedding of Emma Whitaker [1890-1979] (of Halifax) to John Grayshan [1890-1962] (of Stalybridge).  I can identify some of the Whitaker members of the party, but I know less about the Grayshans.

Is there anybody who has John Grayshan and his father, also John [b 1854], on their family tree?  Perhaps you can add more details of the family, or even identify some of the unknown people in the photograph

Hello
On the marriage certificate, it says that John's father, John is deceased Butcher so her can't be on the picture. ;D

Thanks, Heather.  That explains why John (junior) & brother Tom were living with their grandparents in 1901, and how in 1911 John came to be living with an aunt in Halifax, where he met his bride to be.
