Where was/is this place ?

A couple of observations from various ages of old map at 1:2500 scale https://www.old-maps.co.uk/#/Map/263686/47637/12/100687 this one shows a footpath from that cottage direct to Home Farm in the village. If you change to the 1906 version the footpath isn't there and doesn't reappear later, and by 1952 the cottage isn't there.
I suspect that the current building has been built on the footprint of the original but may well not be representative of how it originally appeared.
