Frederick Romer 1855-1940
« on: Tuesday 17 July 18 22:45 BST (UK) »
Hi. I have been able to find Frederick in London but cannot find him on the 1911 census. So I searched for his wife in 1911 but no luck there. I wonder if anyone could suggest anything else I could search please?

Could they have been out of the country?  They sailed to Bombay in 1934 and Frederick is on a 1929 passenger list for Port Said

Frederick Charles Romer isn’t the one I’m looking at, but thank you anyway.

I have him dying in Minehead, and have since seen him and his wife in Somerset on the 1939 census but in a hotel. He lived in London from all the info I have found up to 1908. But nothing for 1911.

On the passenger list of 1929 is there any other info that would say it was the same Frederick Romer please? And the sailing to Bombay?

Frederick Romer OBE and wife Kathleen Mabel.

Thank you for your help 😀

Hi the voyage London to Port Said was 19th November 1929 on Vessel Ranchi his address in UK was 3, Lurgan Mansions SW7
The 1934 voyage to Bombay was 12th May 1934 on Vessel Mantua accompanied by a Kathleen aged 65, address in UK was 22, Empire House, Thurloe Place, SW7

Their is also a voyage 2nd March 1911 for a Mr & Mrs F Romer London to Gibralta on Vessel Caledonia, looks to be be with other passengers with occupation Govt?

Both addreses on the voyages show the same Frederick/Kathleen Mabel Romer living there in the 1930's
