Non-conformist Baptist Records Clipston For Harriet Buswell 1823
« on: Saturday 21 July 18 23:06 BST (UK) »
This kind of leads on from a previous post re Gravestones / GRO records.  I believe it is likely that Harriet Buswell belonged to the Baptist Church in Clipston. Does anybody know if it is possible to get these records or can access them so that I can source her parents as Elizabeth and William Buswell, also potentially of Clipston.

Information that I have sources for

Harriet Buswell married Edward Buswell in 1845.
Edward was from Clipston.
They had three children
Louisa 1845-1933
Julia 1847-1852
Walter 1849
The children were all born in Creaton.
Harriet died in 1850.

The reason I think William and Elizabeth may be her parents is that there is a gravestone in Clipston Baptist church, which mentions a daughter of a similar age 27, who died the same year 1950. The GRO has her at 29 at her death.

Many thanks

You may have to contact the Baptist church itself - Northamptonshire Records Office don't appear to have any registers for Clipston.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

Many thanks for all your help, Rookie error of calculating a birth date from census and then not updating new info on my files.
Ahh still so much to learn - but a great journey.

Not sure what records you are hoping to find.

A Baptist Church practices Believers baptism - ie the person being baptised makes their own decision to do so when they are old enough to have made their own decision to believe.
Therefore babies are not baptised.  Even if the Church did keep any records of baptisms (and most wont have any) they will be for adults and therefore not include parents names.
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex
