https://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/Pages/family-history/tracing-your-family-tree.aspx https://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/Pages/family-history/family-history.aspx This is from the era prior to civil registration, and there will likely be scant information on the registration, so it is UNLIKELY to give information about their origins or their parents.
https://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/Pages/family-history/registry-records.aspx LR is NSW BDM code for : St Francis Roman Catholic, Melbourne, Victoria.
https://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/Pages/family-history/early-church-codes.aspx Victoria was not hived off from the colony of New South Wales until 1851, so that’s why the passenger list for the Mary Nixon is found at NSW archives and the marriage is found at NSW BDM. Likely there will be similar records held by Victoria’s archives and bdm.
