Trying to find details of Janet McClure, born Aug 25 1784 "Scotland"; died June 7  1876, Kircudbright
married Tongland, no dates.... ?

Do you have the death cert?

She is given  as aged 91.  The  widow of John Rae, a grain merchant. Parents given as James Mclure, farmer and Margaret, MS Rae.

Informant was Eliza Rae, grand daughter

I see nothing on Scotlands People nor Family Search but they started having children in 1810 (Margaret) so I suspect they married around then.

Jannet McClure christened at Twynholm, July 1784, father James McClure.
Spouse John Rae or Ray.
Family Margaret Ray b 22/6/1810 Kirkcudbright.
          Robert Ray b 16/8/1812.   Kbt.
          James Rae. b11/1/1816.    Kbt.
          John Ray.  b23/11/1817    Kbt.   Mother given as Janet Mary McClure.
          Eliza Rae.  b17/2/1820.    Kbt.
          Alexander Rae. b26/8/1823. Kbt.
          Robert Rae   b 20/5/1826.  Kbt.
The above are all listed on family search, hope it helps.

Could this be Janet McClure & family MI at Tongland Kirkyard?

In memory of Robert, son of John Rae, who departed this life 3rd Dec’r 1815, in the fourth year of his age. Capt'n Robert Rae, his youngest son, who was lost at sea with ship crew and cargo, 16th March 1844, in the 18th year of his age. John his third son, died of consumption, 16th Jan. 1846, buried here. The said John Rae, died at Liverpool, 10th February 1866 aged 83 years, and is interred here. Janet McClure, wife of the said John Rae, died at Kirkcudbright, 7th June 1876 aged 91 years.

This same family are at Chesterfield Street, Toxteth Park, Lancs in 1841 Census as on family search.
