Do you have Francis William Creek's birth certificate? Which should give you his parents names.
Richard Wernham (Berkshire 18th century),
William Hissey (1805 to 1813, Hampstead Norris),
Kapirin (Siberia 19th Century),
Kitching 1850,
Mary Howse born 1806 ish,
Chris Truelove marr. John Pocock 2-7-1696, Kintbury, Berks

I cannot find a Creek/Burke marriage anywhere within a reasonable time frame. If it was the bride's second marriage, she would have been married in her first husband's name, not her maiden name (assuming they married).

I've had a quick look on the GRO Index but cannot see any other children born around 1900/16

Any reason why, as I see Violet remarries 1949 to a Joseph E Reason
A Francis Creek with a father William caught my eye in earlier census Neath?
