What is the connection of this British soldier Thomas Bird to Megan,newest member of the Royal Family.
Thomas Bird  22nd Cheshire Regiment Private,married an Ulster Catholic in Donnybrook Dublin 1860.
Usually any new member of this family will have had their entire Family Tree published quite quickly.Why are we the interested public being kept in the dark.    Just saying.

If you google the phrase "thomas bird ancestor to megan markle?" you'll see it's actually been reported quite a bit.

I did say that it had been reported quite a bit... OP just has to look through the links. The one I just posted (reply #3) does allow you to go though each generation step by step although I can't say how accurate any of it is.

Thomas Bird died Canada 1861,after regiment arrived from Dublin.His wife Mary married secondly to another soldier same regiment.

Have had another look at this today.

1st/22nd  Cheshires sailed from Dublin 13 June 1860 with 838 men,77 wives,82 children,arrived Valletta 22nd June 1860,installed in Florianna Barracks,where living conditions were appalling.

A court martial executed a Private in front of the entire Regiment for killing his Sergeant,life appears to have been a struggle for survival,with many deaths.due to disease,eye conditions,poor food etc.

Regiment embarked for New Brunswick arriving 18 April 1866,where they remained until 28 May 1869,before going home to Cork Ireland.
Unsurprisingly,Thomas Bird did not survive very long.
