Battersea Jones c 1900
« on: Monday 23 July 18 20:48 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for info on my Grandmother Elizabeth Sarah Jones born born in Battersea in 1906. Her Dad was John Jones who we believe was of Romany descent. They had lived in Alfred St Battersea. Members of their immediate circle were the Hays, Aunt Polly, Rosie Hays, Aunt Ivy, Uncle Herbert, Billy Jones, George Jones, Tilly Hays, Aunt May They all used to go hopping at Paddock Wood. It would be great if anyone can recognise them.

There's a marriage for Henry George Jones & Sarah Ann Lovett in 1889, Wandsworth. I've found Sarah in Battersea in 1911, with a daughter Sarah the right age (no husband at home)

Looking back to Henry and Sarah, I can;t find obvious romany links.  John Jones is a labourer from Cardiff. George Lovett a labourer  who appears to come from a line of wood cutters
