Le Chateau Bellefontaine, Biarritz 1900s
« on: Monday 23 July 18 21:03 BST (UK) »
A family I am researching lived here for a few years, certainly between 1900 and 1904, maybe a couple of years either side. I am trying to locate this building.
I wondered if it might be the second building described here, Chateau Folie Boulart
http://www.paysbasque1900.com/2016/09/les-chateaux-gramont-et-boulard-biarritz.html
The same building also seems to be named Chateau d'Acardie, google maps shows them in the same location.
The linked article mentions that Edward VII stayed there several times during the early 1900s. This is a possible clue because the husband of my family was commanded by Edward to write the official 'report' of his coronation.
Any ideas on how I could find out if it was ever referred to as Bellefontaine?

Problem solved! I found a website stating Chateau Boulart (or Boulard) was also known as Villa Bellefontaine and was occupied by the English historian Bodley. Magnificent building
