Not everyone has trees on Ancestry or any other site, many keep their trees on their computer & some may have joined a free site such as Tribalpages?
There are people (as I said) researching the surname Theobald here on RC i.e. a look through the posts may reveal something/someone worth contacting as it won't be their ancestors doing the research
