Mabel Bagshawe,

I have taken one last voyage round "William Edward WOOLLEY" and decided his whole profile is so problematic I am going to find a darkened room, lie down and enjoy a "Senior Moment" of pure forgetfulness 8)

There seems no other answer..... but thank you for your valiant efforts.

So - Nellie Woolley b Gosport  c1881 is a servant in Oxford in 1901.

1892 sees Edith M Woolley marry John Edward Mills ( a painter!!) in Oxford. By 1901 they are in Portsmouth and have, amongst other children Ellen Caroline Mabel. Edith says she's born Winchester. Her dob on 1939 is 16 Oct 1869 - same quarter as Edith Montgomery!

I haven't found her yet on 1891

Just to contribute further to your nervous breakdown I found these :

All registered in Woolwich :

George Samuel Woolley 1872 mmn King
James William Woolley 1872 mmn King
Thomas Matthew Woolley 1876 mmn King
Louisa Woolley 1874 mmn King

I found deaths for all of these within a year of their births , so not on any census. However I found private baptisms at Saint Mary Magdalene Woolwich for George Samuel and James William which give parents  as William Edward Woolley( painter ) and Caroline of Hardins Lane.

Evening Mabel Bagshawe and Christine53,

It is time for an "Executive Decision".   I am going to assume that most of the details you have managed to fossick belong to William Edward WOOLLEY, that is, from Frances GURR to Caroline KING.  And, therefore, if you have any just cause or impediment why these three persons may not be joined together in holy profile......... ;D ;D    Just be gentle in rebuke!

Thank you for all your help.   I really am extremely grateful.
