William (Bill) Lowe

I am looking for descendents of Bill Lowe. He was born 19.12. 1899, the son of Thomas and Mary Lowe in Malvern Worcestershire. He had a brother Douglas and  sisters Rosalie and Nellie. He was admitted to Barnardo's in 1910 but returned to his mother in 1915. He is my great uncle and I last heard of him around 1948 when he visited  Douglas with his Scottish wife and 2 young teenage sons in kilts. I believe he was living in Scotland and  I have been told it was thought he was the manager of a store there possibly Woolworths.

He is shown as William H

Rosalie was born 1902 mmn Layton but is in Kent in 1911 with a different family

Nellie Louisa was b 1903 mmn Layton

According to the 1901 census entry - he was born in Northwood Middlesex and was 3yrs old at that time

This would fit the Northwood place of birth - (Norwood)

Agreed Rosie - but where did the birthdate of 19.12.1899 come from?

A Charles Bertie Lowe was b Chelsea June qtr 1899 - mmn Layton - died 1976 Northampton

Probably from the 1896 marriage in Wandsworth so ignore

Perhaps his birth date was actually 19 Dec 1900 and registered in the next quarter

Poor woman she was certainly having children one after the other
