Where can I find I C Reid (born 1/9/1940)who left Hoddesdon in 1986/87

His father was Charles REID (1905 /1963)His mother Heather Newall (1912/1999?)his sisterLaurel Elisabeth married Michael Chase in  1963 and divorced in 1980/81??? The couple had 2sons born in 1966 and in 1969

However, it's not the policy of RC to name any possible living persons i.e. your info. will be edited by a Moderator as the site is mainly for researching the deceased.

You haven't said where Hoddesdon is in the world & as your post is in the Beginners Board rather than a specified Country or County, without a 'google' search, many researchers won't know where it is?

I did find it on 'google' but makes life easier all round when people post Countries/Counties etc. as a starting block for others willing to help

He was not born in  Hoddesdon but on the Wirral - just for background.

His sister died in 2011 (Laurel Elizabeth Chase Death 01/04/2011 Fleet) and there is grant and will - get it for more information?

Sorry if I didn't play by the rules but I am not trying to make a family tree but to have new contact with a dear friend I stupidly lost touch with when we both moved and I waited too long to reply to his  last letter .I met him and his mother  through common friends in 1970 when I  was living in Bebington Wirral  a mile away from Mrs REID's house 12oakridge close Spital)When I left England to go back to France in 1971 we kept in touch  and I was in fact the only and last one of his Wirral friends to know where he  was until1985.!I divorced and kept to myself some time before sending him aletter when things were better in 1986/87The letter came back to me from Hoddesdon,"return to sender"I now knowthey(him and his mum) had left in 1986/87 Time has gone by but recently a common Wirral friend died(he was best man at Gerry's wedding to Diana) and athe Memorial service in May ,the survivors of that period were wondering what had happened to him. This triggered the idea of trying to find his present whereabouts We are now in our 70s ,I am not an expert on the internet I try my best to make sure he knows I have good memories of that period thanks to people like him and his mum who were kind and compassionate  welcoming a French girl in England for 2years my first name isn't emma butThérèse
